Synopsis

In one of London toughest council estates, an orphaned Arab refugee, ADBUL ‘ONE EYE’ ALAKI is given his first home out of prison. After years in foster care, he finally has a chance to be normal. But unprepared for life, he has no skills or guidance except for a youth worker, Hasan Barakat, who comes across his case. Despite many attempts, Abdel is drawn to his old ways with the lure of quick money from local gangs, until the arrival of an unusual stranger next door. Two-time British war veteran JOHN GRIMEWOOD who has come to complete unfinished business for a dead comrade. Their encounter creates an unlikely bond between two lives connected by events from the other side of the world. But having already committed to dangerous people, it may be too late for Abdel, unless a Soldier and a Social worker take on all odds to protect him.
