Berlin 2020. A Paradoxical city facing the onset of a World crisis. Escaping Brexit, Trump, the rising Far Right and potential global economic meltdown, many hip young Europeans, Americans & even Middle Eastern Refugees have made the city their Utopian refuge. But the party seems to be coming to an end with the inescapable problems of the outside world creeping in.
Amidst this, three pleasure-seeking ex-pats are down on their luck and deep in money troubles. Rather than face the building tension of their reality, they choose to escape further into the decadent nightlife of the city. Much to their surprise, however, they find themselves on a strange odyssey that leads them to the knowledge of a large stash of money hidden under a mysterious script writer’s bed. Their desperate circumstances lead them into a haphazard attempt at retrieving it with disastrous consequences.
Beyond any of their expectations, a new light appears at the end of the tunnel, which transforms them, and their very perception of their life. Whatever they were running from was waiting for them all along.
